I like to give my children tools for success in every situation. Church is no exception.

Logan likes to read a Bible commentary while listening to the sermon. I used to let it bother me until he narrated the entire sermon back to me regularly. He was listening but staring at the pastor was too much for him. I let him read now regardless of the opinions of some people in the sanctuary.

Madison likes to draw and fidget. That’s where the idea for these sermon notes came into play. She gets lost in her thoughts while drawing and doesn’t necessarily pay attention to what’s being said. I wanted to acknowledge her need to be artistic but also help him learn to listen at the same time.
