Quiet reflection jars are a perfect solution to use to calm a sensory seeker or to increase the nervous system for one with low registration. Sometimes you need to calm a seeker down for an instant. These work well for that although be cognizant of them so you stop them before they throw it. That’s experience talking there.

A child with low sensory registration does not recognize or process all of the incoming sensory information. They do not try to gain more sensory input to meet their needs. They seem uninterested and inattentive to their surroundings. You need to get their nervous system going in order for them to successfully interact with the world.

Instructions:
- Fill a mason jar with warm water.
- Add glitter glue. I used about 2 tablespoons. If you want your glitter to suspend in the water for a longer duration of time, use more glitter glue. If you want the glitter to sink faster, use less glitter glue.
- Next add a pinch of assorted confetti. Smaller confetti works better.
- Pour about 1/2 a teaspoon of each glitter into the jar.
- Seal well; you can add a layer of glue to the lid of you jar if you don’t want it to be opened.
- Shake and relax as the glitter and confetti slowly swirl and settle in the jar.
