Tiger is spending a few days with us. He needed time to regroup and I needed assistance with some pre birthday projects. The children are so happy to spend time with him that I decided that was more important than doing lessons this week.
For those of you who don’t know him, Tiger is technically my nephew. I say technically because I have had him live with me since he was about 2. There were times when he lived away, either with his mother or father but it never lasted. They always brought him back to me. I think of him as my son. I smile when I see him and I am truly proud of what he has accomplished. Of course, knowing that he turns 22 next week makes me feel really old. lol
God used Tiger to teach me how to be a better mom to Logan and Madison. I made some pretty good mistakes with him that I was able to learn from. I didn’t raise him in a godly home and i sincerely regret that. That made me want to change. I would not be the mom I am today without the lessons I learned with Tiger. I would not have had the confidence that I needed to face autism without Tiger. He faced the brunt of autism with us. He struggled to accept it just like the rest of us. He is doing better with it and I appreciate all that he does with Logan and Madison.
