This is our final week on break. It’s been fun. We’ve enjoyed the rest but I am ready to get started again. Really, I just want the cooler air to come on already. Have I mentioned that it is 150 degrees in Florida this summer? Even the breeze, when it blows. is hot. Kind of like stepping into an oven. Bleck!
Just because we’re on break doesn’t mean we aren’t busy. Oh no. Somehow, we get busier on break. Maybe I have an easier time saying no to things when lessons have to be accounted for too. Hmmmm, something to ponder. Without further ado, here’s our week.
Clean house and meeting at church about the new Dave Ramsey class. I am so excited. We couldn’t go in the pool because it rained all day.
Dad was off, yay!!!! Again,it rained all day so we stayed inside. and hung out with Dad. The one time we did venture out, the car wouldn’t start. Figures, right? I got quite engrossed in a new book and ended up staying up to 1 AM. I paid for that decision on Wednesday though.
This day turned out craptastic to be brutally honest. First, I was tired from staying up too late. I had to get up early and get Logan to physical therapy. While at pt, their toilet overflowed and there was water everywhere including the gym where Logan was located. We then went to Staples where all the 10 cent composition books were gone but we scored free highlighters. Off to dyads ( a form of social skills group) where the other child was an hour late. Off to pick up Nana who was fussing about needing her truck back that day. Another hour on the phone securing rides to church for the children for that evening’s commitments. Wait for Nana to pick me up for my grocery store run and she’s late. Nana who is 2 hours early for everything is late. Hurriedly get out at Publix, run through the store then Nana picks me back up to take me home. Finally, get the food away then fall onto couch to wait for kids.
Better day except the car is still broke so Nana has to take Logan to physical therapy in the morning. Clean house and finally the sun shines enough for us to get in pool.
I’m sick so the kids play in pool and read books. We played who can be the quietest and not wake up mom game.
This is Angelfood day so we will get up early to help out. Everyone but Dad goes (he stays home and sleeps). Madison takes the papers where they need to be. Logan walks to the cars checking for prayer requests while I run the specials table. It’s a fun morning of serving others.
That’s all the
whining reviewing I have for this week. We start our new term next Wednesday! Visit kris over at http://www.weirdunsocializedhomeschoolers.com/ for more weekly wrap ups.
