Madison loves art. A lot! We have so many craft supplies in this house that we could start our own art store. When this came up for review, I literally jumped up and down in glee. I blissfully figured out a way to sign up on my phone . Then we stalked the post office for the package.
We choose Sunflowers. Well, I did because they are my favorite flowers. I thought how lovely! The kids could do it and I could have some beautiful pictures to decorate with . Win-win for everyone.
- Priced at $14.99 for one dvd or $99.99 for the entire set of dvds
- 4 lessons on each dvd, each about 25 mins long
- Can count as a half credit for high school fine art or a full credit if you use their suggestions.
- Covers the project plus art history, elements and principles
- Biblically based
See the Light also has box sets, Bible stories, online art class and more. I would hop over to check their site out if I were you.
The lessons can be done together or independently . I let Madison use them independently and do the project from start to finish all by herself. Here is where I would show you pictures but she decided to make it a birthday present for me. Therefore, I was not allowed to see it so Dad took over making sure it was done appropriately.
These lessons can easily be done by a 6th grader and her Redneck Dad. This tells me that the video was well done. She finished the project quite pleased with her work. We are definitely getting the other dvds so Logan can get an art credit. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking for an art program for their children to complete with minimal assistance.
