If you feel as though you are losing the connection you once had with your faith then you may feel guilty about this. You may also feel shame and anger, but this shouldn’t be the case at all. Don’t Be Mad At Yourself
The main thing that you have to do is be sure you are not mad at yourself. When you are able to find your way back speaks more about your character than losing your faith in the first place. If you are going through a tough time then it really does help to talk with someone. You need to chat with them about coming back to your faith and have a discussion about what lead you astray in the first place. This will really help you to stay focused and it will also help you to come to terms with the situation in general. Some people also find that it helps them to talk to someone who works at a church. Ask them to pray over you right then as well as to continue to pray for you as you come to mind,
Join a Support Group
It may help to join a support group. You need to remember here that you are not alone at all. Look into religious institutions with fixed seating or consider starting your own support group if you know that there isn’t one in your local area. Talking to other people can really help here. This is especially the case if you can find someone who has been through something similar to what you have, as it can help you to get back on the road to God in the shortest possible time.
Go to Church
Another thing that you can do is try and go to church. When you are able to do this, you can quickly regain your connection and you can also feel the energy and the support from the people around you as well. If you don’t feel as though you can go to church right away then this is understandable. You may feel as though you just don’t have that connection right now and the whole thing may be harder than it normally is. The main thing that you have to remember is that all of this will pass, and that there are things that you can do to try and give yourself the boost you need to reconnect with God.
