Loyal Books –Free Public Domain Audiobooks & eBook Downloads
Formerly known as Books Should Be Free, has a fantastic assortment of audio recordings of public domain books. You can download the titles used with An Old Fashioned Education, or Ambleside Online, as well as other books that your kids enjoy listening to for FREE. (And if homeschooling is busting your budget right now, read my post about Homeschooling on the Cheap. )
Sometimes in the evening, I would set up my laptop in the kids’ bedroom so they could listen to a chapter or two of a book after they go to bed. You can either listen on the site, or you can download the audio files (mp3) to your computer to listen to later.
