Dinner for my family

I love this picture.  It was such a fun day spent together.  We looked at plants, enjoyed nature and had so much fun .  No worries or cares to be found.  I have a post in the works about where we went ( Hint, it was a beautiful Florida landmark).
Day 2 of the 30 Day Giving Challenge started early for me.  If you read my blog frequently, you know that I am not a morning person.  That truly is an understatement.  This morning though, I choose to get up before the sun and start lunch in the crock pot for my family.  Michael and the children have been tending to the home front while I have been at the hospital.with Michael’s dad.  Before you wonder why I am at the hospital and not Michael, I should tell you that this is Michael’s week to work late.  So he leaves at 2:30 in the afternoon and comes home at 5:30 in the morning.   I go to the hospital out of love not only for my father in law but for my husband as well.
Back to lunch here.  My poor family has been eating leftovers or scrounging through the pantry for whatever they could find.    This morning they awoke to roast and potatoes.  All they had to do was open a can of vegetables.  It allowed them to spend time with each other and have a good meal.  I may not have been physically present at the table but they all felt my love for them.
