This is my dining room table.

It is covered with a map of the US, and then covered with clear plastic from JoAnn Fabrics. We put this map on our table about six years ago, and it has been the source of many great dinnertime geography quizzes and conversations. I took the map off last September, when I put most my kids in public school. I guess I wanted to have a ‘normal’ dinner table. Hah! Whatever that means! 🙂
Now, considering I’ll have most of them home again, my 13 yo J asked, “Does this mean we can put the map back on the table?” I hadn’t realized the kids really LIKED having it there! So, here it is once again. I did tell them (by them, I really mean HIM…Daddy loves having this map!) that it will be replaced with a WORLD map when school starts, since we are doing Ancients this coming year.
