Essential oils aren’t safe to take internally…true or false? There is alot of information on the internet on this topic! How does one decide which side is correct? How can a person find reliable information the subject? I found Dr Haggerton did a nice job explaining why there are such passionate opinions on both sides ( see below).
I absolutely agree with both sides, why? Because if I only thought of essential oils as perfume grade then you bet I would not be ingesting them! Those who are saying they cannot be ingested…are not using the purest form of essential oils in a therapeutic grade. YES PLEASE do not ingest those oils.
However, because I follow the French philosphy with therapeutic oils, You can bet I can ingest oils…responsibly.
Doterra oils are certified safe to ingest and a great rule of thumb is to look for the nutrition label on the side. By FDA standards, all safe to consume internally items must have a nutrition label. Now, just because the FDA clears it doesn’t necessarily mean one should eat it (can anyone say Splenda?) but it’s a great way to tell quickly for oils.
Listen to both part 1 and 2 ( each 30 minutes) to be clear on the power of essential oils!
