Let’s talk festivals in our series today. Specifically, let’s talk about the Flower and Garden Festival that happens at Epcot every spring. The stuff they do with plants is always amazing. I keep trying to convince Logan to be a horticulturist instead of a herpetologist so he can practice in my yard. Yea, he’s not budging on that one.
Nature studies are obviously a no brainer here. While you won’t see tons of different types of birds hanging around because of the sheer number of people there, you will see lots of butterflies. There is an entire tent house set up as a butterfly forest that you can walk through. Simply amazing. The topiaries are set up in each country. Mickey , of course, is at the front of the park. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs near Germany, Lady and the Tramp in Italy, Mary Poppins in England. You get the idea. We like to walk around looking at them while trying to decide how they did that. We talk about what plants they used, how they water them, how they get them in that shape, and how long it takes them to get it all done in time for the festival to start to just name a few things we discuss. The festival center will tell us more.
